Mothers Leading Science (MLS) approached me to design a logo that would symbolize their innovative yearlong career development program for research-intensive faculty in the health sciences who are also mothers.
MLS tackles the challenges faced by women in academic health sciences research at the crossroads of career, gender, and motherhood.
I collaborated closely with MLS to design a logo that seamlessly blends symbols of science, motherhood, and progress. The result is a stylized silhouette of a woman in a lab coat holding a baby, featuring symbols related to biomedical science nestled inside hexagon molecules. This logo encapsulates the essence of MLS—an initiative breaking barriers and championing the advancement of women in health sciences research.
